Mismatched Photo Frame Collage

I’ve been racking my brain for months as to how to fill that big empty space above the couch since I’ve moved. I’ve successfully completed the dining room, master bedroom, and kitchen thus far but I’ve yet to truly tackle the most important room of all – the living room. After several hours (that may be an understatement) browsing through Pinterest, I thought I’d seen it all… accent walls, murals, paintings, frames… and I wasn’t quite impressed just yet. None of the ideas I’d come up with so far really fit the theme of the house… which is vintage and rustic.

Growing tired of the empty, hospital-like walls, I decided to make a move… I bought a photo frame from the clearance section of Pier 1. And then I bought another from Target, and another from Macy’s… And then I thought, why not make a photo frame collage of mismatched frames? Next on my list in my mission to complete my photo frame collage is an older vintage wall clock and some more unique frames with a dull finish in order to enhance the vintage feel of the room… I will be sure to post a picture once it’s up and ready!

I personally love the look of mismatched things done right. It gives off a “homey” feel, as well as a rustic and vintage look. What do you think about mismatched frames and photo frame collages?
